The beautiful hand-painted platformer Itorah has had an hour-long demo released as part of Steam Next Fest. Developer Grimbart Tales have promised this will be an exciting blend of classic platformer aspects alongside unique features.
In a teaser trailer released by Assemble Entertainment, the game’s art pushes boundaries compared with existing games within the genre. Furthermore, there promises to be a storyline unfolding. In which, the main character Itorah is the only remaining human within the world.
In addition, another exciting feature of Itorah is making allies. Despite being the only remaining human, making friends is necessary to conquering challenging puzzles and fighting evil.
Moreover, as part of the quest to save Nahucan, players can look forward to a range of fluid animations. Alongside this, Nahucan will leave the players with a range of terrifying fauna and bosses to fight. Remember, you can’t move on until all enemies are defeated.
As well as offering a wide range of unique features, Itorah remains humble to the genre. Nevertheless, there remains elements of classic side-scrolling, sword swiping and exploration that fans of the genre have grown to love.
Steam Next Fest is a promotional event hosted by Steam. During the week from October 1st-7th, 2021, you can look forward to a range of free demos and live streams within the steam app. The week is being used to promote smaller game developers and give people an incentive to try something new.
The hour-long Itorah demo is available now. It is known for Windows PC via Steam. An official release is scheduled for later this year.
