Yakuza Kiwami Out Now on Xbox One and Windows 10

At times there are video game series whose origins we have yet to experience on the Xbox One. Many fans keep an eye out for their favourite series to get this chance. Finally, that day has arrived for the long heralded series Yakuza. Yakuza Kiwami, developed by SEGA, is now available on the Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass and Windows 10.

It is a “ground up” remake of 2005’s Yakuza. Yakuza Kiwami begins where Yakuza 0 ends. Old and new players alike will be able to step into the third person, snakeskin shoes of  the series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu. Xbox One owners will now have a chance to learn what Kiryu went through after returning to an unfamiliar world.

Yakuza Kiwami on Xbox One and Windows 10 pulls no punches. Players will be able to enjoy all four fighting styles including Kiryu’s traditional Dragon style. The introduction of  the ‘Majima Everywhere’ system which replaced the ‘Mr. Shakedown’ system is included in full force.

Players will also be able take advantage of the open world provided in order to complete up to 70 sub-stories, or just roam around Kamurocho. With all of this, Xbox One players are finally able to experience the origins of Kazuma Kiryu. How he is expelled from the yakuza family, and finds one mysterious girl Haruka who may hold the answers he seeks.

It has been a 4 year wait for some Xbox only console players, since Yakuza Kiwami was first released on PlayStation 3 and 4 back in 2o16. Now that wait is over. Released on April 21st, 2020, Yakuza Kiwami is available on the Xbox One and Windows 10, while also being featured for Xbox Game Pass members. Check it out today. It may just be the reminiscing you need, or the new experience you crave.
