Welcome back to the Weekly News Roundup, where you can find everything we’ve covered in one place! I, the Grunt, have returned to bring you guys some sweet gaming news goodness! So sit back, relax, maybe pour a glass of soda or tea; and lets get to the fun stuff in this week’s Weekly News Roundup!

Weekly Content

The Indie Highlight of the week goes to Maid of Sker, a truly unique upcoming horror game! It’s based on the true story of Elizabeth Williams, and what may be one of the most haunted building in Britain: The Sker House. If this sounds interesting to you, definitely come take a look in the haunted house!

This week also saw a massive opinion article about Halo 3 on PC! However, rather than covering the standard news or even how well the game is; we focus on the long journey that Halo 3 took in order to finally release on PC. There is a ton of backstory to learn here, and it will absolutely make you appreciate the game more than ever! Check it out at this sacred ring!

The Highlight of the Week goes to this week’s massive game release: Ghost of Tsushima! In this game, you play as samurai warrior named Jin Sakai, who’s story takes place in late 13th century Japan. Take a look at the recent release of this legendary story!

Large Scale Announcements

Odin is with us! The upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been given an official release date alongside an actual gameplay reveal! This all took place during the Ubisoft Forward event last weekend, and a slew of details were revealed. Put on your assassin hood and join the creed to learn more!

Another MASSIVE game was announced during Ubisoft Forward event, Far Cry 6! Featuring the legendary actor Giancarlo Esposito, who will play the primary antagonist of the game. Take a loot at the announcement, interviews and even the release date on the upcoming game here!

In other big news, Xbox’s xCloud streaming service will be joining the Xbox Gamepass bundle this September! The xCloud allows you to stream games onto any mobile device that supports it, and play Xbox games that way. This is a big deal and absolutely worth looking into here, if you’re and Xbox gamer!

Exciting Gaming News!

It was recently announced that Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is receiving retail editions! This interesting game is uses both side-scrolling action with deep crafting and farming simulation, which looks like an absolute blast! Be sure to check out all the details on this game here!

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s latest update has brought the return of AI teammates to the fold! These team mates will join and replace any slot of absence friends in your squad. Learn about each character and more about the update at the command center!

At the Ubisoft Forward event, they showed of a new battle royal game titled Hyper Scape! However, instead of just giving out information about the game, they announced the the open beta for the game is live! The beta is still playable now, so be sure to check all the information about it here before you jump in!
