The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is available on consoles!

Console players will be very pleased to know that The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is here. Therefore, be ready for a new wave of darkness on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Published by Headup Games, this new Korean survival-horror adventure is available to play now. You can check out our previous review on the game here if you haven’t already.

The developer, Devespresso Games, have created an extremely unique world. The gorgeous hand-illustrated manhwa (Korean manga) adds an effective comic book aesthetic. The dark story continues from the first game. However, this sequel lets us follow a new protagonist, Mina Park. To those that don’t know, Mina was a side character in the first game.

So, what’s going on in The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters?

A student at Sehwa High, Mina Park wakes up in the middle of the night at her school. Things take a more eerie turn when Mina realizes her once-familiar surroundings have changed. Things have now twisted into something dark. In addition to her real-life nightmares, Mina is pursued by a killer that resembles her English teacher! So, to escape the horrors, Mina must venture to the surrounding district where strange creatures and mysterious strangers await. With multiple endings and possible perma-damage, expect the tension to rise.

The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters has already gathered an “overwhelmingly positive” status with Steam. Players made positive mentions to its vibrant visuals and nightmare-fueled narrative. Furthermore, at the Taipei Game Show 2020 Indie Game Award, the game won the accolades of Best Narrative Awards and Grand Prix. In case you are wondering, Grand Prix is the most prestigious honor to be given at the Awards show.

What can we anticipate on our scary adventure?

In this slasher-evading side-scroller, expect to run and hide from the all new AI. You’ll have to be sure to craft items that’ll help you in life or death situations, or risk permanent injury. To find these crafting items, exploration is neccassary, so looking around the nightmarish district of Sewa is vital. You may even find some secrets whilst you’re exploring. There’s also upgrades and tools that’ll open up brand new areas, thus ever expanding the possibilities for hiding and exploring.

The game is expanding its global reach as it supports 11 different languages. These include: English, French, German, Korean, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Thai, and Ukrainian.
