Developer, Devespresso Games, alongside publisher Headup, have announced both a demo and new release date for their upcoming story-driven adventure game, Scarlet Hood and the Wicked Wood.
Set in a vibrant Oz-Esque fantasy world, our protagonist ‘Scarlet’ awakes in a world brimming with magic and secrets from a bygone civilization. Her strange journey begins when she takes up the mantle of the Red Witch, and with her group of Munchkins, sets off through the forbidden Wicked Wood.
Our protagonist soon discovers an artefact that causes her to relieve the same day, The Recursion Hex. Featuring signature manhwa-style graphics by Minho Kim and a non-linear story written by T.L Riven, Scarlet Hood and the Wicked Wood features a recurring time loop allowing players to experience unique new story paths and multiple endings.
The decisions you make must guide your Munchkin group safely out of the Wicked Wood, but be ready, as the only way through requires solving various puzzles, or by finding clues scattered across the wood. Your decisions will decide the outcome of your group.
