Rumor has it that Resident Evil 7 will be making an appearance at this year’s E3.
This information comes from the CEO of Kantan Games, Dr. Serkan Toto. He confirmed via Twitter that Resident Evil 7 is currently in development, and has been for a couple of years now. He also detailed that the game will be going back to it’s “RE’s horror roots”, making for a subtle hint to what we can expect to see when the game is formally announced.
1) About Resident Evil 7: Yes, it’s in development. The entire game will go back to RE’s horror roots and (essentially) be a clean slate.

Toto also announced that Jordan Amaro, who has worked with Kojima Productions in the past, has been hired to work on Resident Evil 7. Amaro has worked on several projects in the past, including P.T., a playable teaser for the cancelled Silent Hills game. P.T. escalated the horror genre to a whole new level, which should be reassuring for fans awaiting the release of a new Resident Evil title.
While Capcom will not be hosting a press conference themselves, we should see a formal announcement roll through during Microsoft’s or Sony’s Press Conference on June 13th, 2016.
