Overwatch Anniversary Celebration Brings Tons Of Content On May 22nd

Beginning on May 22nd, a large event will take place to celebrate Overwatch’s two year anniversary. Starting on May 22nd, ending June 12th, a brand new in-game event will take place for all platforms. Included is a range of new content such as over 50 cosmetic items, a new death match map, and all previous seasonal cosmetic items.

The new items include eight Legendary skins, three Epic skins, and new dance emotes for Doomfist, Moria, and Brigitte. Past seasonals are back and will be rotated daily, including those found in Overwatch: Archives. The brand new map, Petra, is introduced along with a new competitive mode, featuring placement matches, skill rating tiers, and leaderboards. Players logging during the event will receive a bonus Legendary loot box, guaranteeing one Legendary item.

Additionally, Overwatch will be free to play between May 25th and May 29th on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, Just in time for new players to join the celebrations. Those who enjoy the game and decide to purchase it, the brand new Overwatch Legendary Edition will be available digitally May 22nd, including 15 Legendary, Epic, and Origin skins.
