Nintendo Adds Back-to-School Deals And The Cheapest New 3DS Bundle

Nintendo has decided to give children and adults alike a chance to put off their first days of homework to relax and enjoy some of their games at a reduced price starting August 16th through September 9th. A collection of games, systems and amiibo bundles were reduced for the upcoming end-of-summer days, and just in time for some last minute multiplayer sessions with family and friends alike.

“These back-to-school deals are some of the best and most varied we have ever offered,” said Pierre-Paul Trepanier, Nintendo of Canada’s General Manager and Senior Director. “Now is clearly the best time to get started on your essential Nintendo game collection.”

This means that everybody can finally fill the holes in their collections without inversely burning a hole in their wallets, and I sure know that I’ll be taking the opportunity when it arises.
First off, a new Mario-themed New Nintendo 3DS was announced for release on August 16th with Super Mario 3D Land preinstalled. The 3DS also comes with two interchangeable face plates: one featuring Mario striking a pose, and another with a collection of 8-bit classic Nintendo characters. This time, the New 3DS bundle is $40 dollars cheaper than it would normally be at $199.99 CAD or 149.99 USD.

August 26th starts the second wave of sales featuring popular 3DS and Wii U titles joining the “Nintendo Selects” collection. These select games will be sold for a suggested price of $29.99 CAD or $19.99 USD and are listed as follows:
