Indie Highlight: Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers Releases For Nintendo Switch

This week a cute and colourful car game released on the Nintendo Switch. With help from the Tokyo based publishing label UNTIES, the four person indie studio Pocket were able to release their brand new game Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers on Nintendo Switch. Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers is a fast-paced racing game that allows players to drive around a range of wonderful environments in toybox-inspired cards. The game has bright and vivid colours and uses joyful music to make the game upbeat and more enjoyable overall. With a total of 15 different tracks over three unique zones, there are plenty of challenges that await on the racecourse.

With up to 8 players in multiplayer mode, this game is sure to be a blast at a party. Players can choose play locally and online to prove their skills and race against the best. With controls that are simple to pick up and easy to understand, there’s no reason that anyone couldn’t be the next champ. Once players have mastered the racecourse, there are also four different battle modes available which offer a completely different way to play. The gamemode “Goal” allows players to have a fun game of soccer, while the gamemode “Coins” allows players to battle to collect the most cash. The two other battle modes are named “Smash” and “Paint”.

With a total of 20 customizable cars, hours of gameplay is guaranteed. Race through the City, Jungle and Beach areas and complete all 12 tracks to unlock all the cars possible. Players will unlock new cars through winning races, so winning is vital to complete the car collection. Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers supports players of all languages and is available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), and Japanese.

Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers is out now for Nintendo Switch.
